Wish List Wednesday

I wish I were here:

With a cold drink in my hand and my book.

I also with there was an editing fairy that could come and edit the rest of my vacation photos, cause there are SO many of them.

Can't wait to be done. I'm about half way through.

Wish List Wednesday - Crafty Storage

I've wanted this since my best bud Alisha posted it on her blog, Crandallation, a year and a half ago. Her uncle is super talented and made it. I NEED one, but he doesn't make them any more. :o( I even searched high and low on etsy and couldn't find ANYTHING like it. My hubby keeps talking about doing projects with wood. Maybe I'll sneak this on his to do list.

To read about this amazing spool cabinet and Alisha's craft area go HERE.

Wish List Wednesday - Resolutions and a Final Farewell to 2010

For this Wish List Wednesday I'm going to list my resolutions...cause they are kinda like wishes...just ones that I'm going to do everything in my power to grant to myself.
1. I wish to lose this baby weight...and then some. I got back on Spark People this Monday and the plan is to lose at least 50 pounds...but I would be happy with 40. I did it in 2009, I can do it in 2011. I have to...cause my sister is getting married in 2012 and the other 5 girls are adorable little stick people. Seriously don't want to be the potato standing with the sticks.
2. I'm not really a Christmas fan...I used to be...but the stress has almost killed me for the past 3 years. I'm done...my next wish is to have all Christmas shopping DONE by Thanksgiving. My current oath is that if it is not bought or made by Thanksgiving, it's not getting bought or made, unless I'm making you something that has and experation date...like the yummy shortbread I made for my father. I think this will cut my stress in half...at least...cause I won't have to brave the crazy Christmas crowds at the mall or go crazy searching for stuff online. It's not that I don't enjoy giving, it's just that I get really stressed out trying to think of the absolutely perfect thing. I just want to be able to sit back and enjoy the season.
On to more fun stuff! Here is the final calendar page for 2010.
December: Happiest Season on All by Everyday Mom Ideas and Template #245 from Designs by Andrea Gold
I made a cute slide show of the year on photobucket...but I wasn't able to figure out how to get
it to show on my blog. However, should you want to see it, the tiny image is linked.

2010 A Year in Review

Hope everyone has a fantastic 2011. Hugs!!

Wish List Wednesday

Really wanting the 2011 sewing calendar to ring in the new year. Can't seem to find it in stores though...so I'm ordering it on Friday. I loved having one last year, although I still have many of the items on my to do list.

Also I'm wishing for a New Year that is as happy as Cooper here seems to be.
This photo was taken by Molly Landreth and is avaliable at her etsy store: here.

Wish List Wednesday

Thirty years ago today the world lost John Lennon. I was only 9 months at the time, but I grew up listening to him and I have always loved his music. I was going to create a treasury dedicated to him, but ran across this piece of art instead. SUZANNA ANNA has some really beautiful art in her shop...you should totally check it out.

This is a line from John Lennon's Imagine. I think it's just beautiful and would love it hanging in the blank space above my bed. Hubby John mentioned he would prefer our first dance song Pure Imagination, which sadly is not a John Lennon song, but much more romantic. Sorry Beatle John...Hubby John won this time ;o) Rest in Peace.

Also did I mention Hubby John wants US to make the piece of art to hang, using the above piece as inspiration? Ought to be an interesting project.

Good-Bye November and Wish List Wednesday

Good-bye November you were fun...welcome, stressful, event packed December. Thankfully the tree is up and seeing the lights twinkle calms me and makes me smile. November: Stamp Frame: Blessings by Meredith Cardall Designs, Green Double Frame: Harvest Spice by Shabby PrincessThankful word art: Thankful Blog Train by Rosey Posey StudioBackground: November 2009 Digital Freebie by Two Peas in a Bucket
On to my wish item for this week! I just LOVE these Advent Calendar Elves from Garnet Hill!
Aren't they cute? When I saw these I thought, "If I were really talented I bet I could make one of those." Then I laughed...cause I'm totally not that talented!
Speaking of making stuff, I started a new blog: will craft...tomorrow.
It's basically my to do list. My internet favorites list was about to explode all over the place and was making me cross-eyed. Listing all the tutorials I want to complete on a blog seemed like much more fun. I made it mostly for my sanity, so I won't be insulted if you don't visit it, but I figured I would share anyway, just in case you needed more to do. ;o)

Wish List Thursday

Wish List Thursday...cause Wish List Wednesday just wasn't going to happen.
Yesterday I was reading through some of my favorite blogs and stopped by Do You Mind If I Knit. In one of her recent entries she wrote about her vacation to Cornwall.
So yesterday I daydreamed about running away to stay in a little cottage in Cornwall for the holidays. Just me and my boys. While I daydreamed I made a little travel treasury.
So Santa, if you are listening, 4 passports, plane tickets and a cottage rental in Cornwall please. :o)

Wish List Wednesday - Sleep

I am operating on very little sleep right now. Tuesday morning started with a 4 am wake up call from Baby Nox, who also decided to try and boycot nap and bedtime. Last night I had a 2am wake up call, followed by another at 3:30am and another at 5am. Two of the wake up calls were my 2 year old, who was trying REALLY hard to have a party...that or practicing for tryouts for cirque du soleil, cause I swear when I went in to check on him he was 2 feet off his mattress.
So here are two things that I think all mothers should have:
An overly fantastic sleep mask...so that everyone will know that Mama needs some shut eye.
And a sweet smelling sleep pillow, to mask the odors of spit up and dirty diapers. Or you could just pretend you're taking a nap in a field of lavender. Sweet Dreams!!

Wish List Wednesday

So I have a million crafts that I need to photograph...BUT I'm 38 weeks pregnant and I just don't feel like moving all that much.
Wish I had a personal camera person to come take pictures for me...would settle for any of the items in my new treasury list though.

Wish List Wednesday - Newborn Photo Props

I've been looking at newborn photos a lot lately. Part of me is sad that I didn't try to take some fun artsy photos of Munch...the other part cannot wait to start taking pictures of Nox.
There are so many props out there for people wanting to photograph newborns...I made a treasury on etsy to show off my personal favorites.

Wish List Wednesday and Goodbye March

I feel like I've fallen so far behind, that I might never catch up. It seems like all I've been doing is trying to organize my millions of "To Do" and "To Get" lists that I haven't actually done anything productive. So in honor of my insane list making, my wish for this week is to get these pads.
They are available through etsy at Finch and Hawk.
And now a small farewell to March. I can't believe 3 months of 2010 have passed already. This year is completely flying by!
March calendar page created using Lucky Charm Add-on by Stuff to Scrap.

Hopefully April will be a little more productive!

Wish List Wednesday

As I was playing with my new laptop yesterday, I was wishing for a mouse...completely unlike the cute little guys below, but I thought they were cute. "Friends" is available at Badbird's Etsy Shop.
She's got a ton of beautiful prints as well as some fantastic embroidery patterns. Also, her blog is fun to explore.

After fooling around on Etsy, I decided that I needed to give my mouse a
chance and try my first digi page on a laptop. I made it simple, but it seems to have worked out. We may be friends yet, despite minor arguments.

Good-bye February and Wish List Wednesday

I think I'm slightly in denial. I cannot believe it's already March! Two months have already FLOWN by.
Created using Owl Luv U 4ever by Emily Powers
And this week on Wish List Wednesday...I wish I could knit, because I would make a few of these for baby Lennox. Just for pictures and maybe for cold winter nights, but mostly just for pictures.
Just in case you are lucky enough to know how to knit, the pattern is available at All You Need is Love. Feel free to make one for me too ;o)

Wish List Wednesday

Today I'm wishing for Spring. Not very crafty, but I did take the photo.
And it wasn't spring, it was October, but there were beautiful flowers and the temperature was perfect...so we can pretend.

Wish List Wednesday

I have been doing a lot of embroidery the past few weeks and have managed to draw blood several million times. It's amazing that I still have fingers. It's also amazing that I don't own one of these.
This pretty little thimble is from GypsysVardo and at a pretty good price too!

A Note on Crafting-A-Long and Wish List Wednesday

In case you missed the comment from Holly here it is:

"...a craft-a-long is where we make a project together. someone is the "leader" and post a set of instructions periodically--could be weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, daily, or sporadically. "

Alisha and I kinda talked about it and decided that maybe we could start in January. We had mentioned doing one per month. The host could list the project on the 1st of the month and then it would be due on the last day of the month...the host could list a link to all the splendid completed projects then as well.

We also mentioned maybe doing a theme a month ahead. So for January we would do a Valentine type craft. February would be St. Patrick's and so on.
I was also playing around with the idea of having a kids craft-a-long every month too. Mostly because I love this one for Valentine's Day.

Anyway, that concludes my spill on Crafting-A-Long. Would love if we could do this. The more people the better!
And now for my Wish List Wednesday portion.
Kaiser needs a new doggie tag and I just love this one from Make Your Dog Smile.
Of course if he gets a new tag he should also get a new collar.
This one is from K-nine Couture and they also make leashes to match!

Wish List Wednesday

Here is my massive to-do list:
Sadly that's not it either...not even close. I need more material...lots...and Christmas is quickly sneaking up on me.
So this week, I would like to wish for lots more time.
Or this cute guy to keep me smiling while I stay very busy!!

Wish List Wednesday

One day, when I win the lottery, I want to commission Lee Ann Mears-Stone to do a portrait of Lyndon and Maybe one of John and I too.
Until then however, I'm just going to admire her fantastic art work and dream. She is truly amazing.
