Birdseed Ornaments and a House

Another gift I decided to make this year was birdseed ornaments. I found a great tutorial over at Saltwater - Kids. It was a pretty sticky project, but Munch and I had a great time making them.

We saved some to hang outside for our birdy friends (AND squirrel friends...lets not forget them!)

Munch also did a fantastic job painting a bird house for Nana to go with her batch of ornaments.

Didn't the house turn out great?! I have a couple little ones I have to prep so Munch can paint them for our new garden.
The birdseed ornaments barely lasted a week. I'm so happy the birds found our little yard. Munch and I are going to have to make them more ornaments soon. Perhaps ALL hearts this time since Valentine's Day is right around the corner.

My Boys Monday - Ornaments

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! Ours was pretty stressful, but in the end I think we all had fun. Munch got a little tired of opening presents, (because we have FIVE Christmases) so we still have some sitting under the tree.
During the month I actually managed to fit in one of the crafts from my list on will craft...tomorrow. Both boys "made" ornaments. One each for our tree and three extra sets for the Grandmothers.
Munch's Hand
Nox's Feet
I linked on my other blog, but here is the link again to the tutorial from the inkling network.

After making ornaments Munch insisted on painting...
And Nox was left with some very green feet!
This was such a fun craft to do with the boys and I love having their little paw prints on my tree!

My Boys Monday - Father's Day Craft

On Friday Auntie Ari came over to help Lyndon make a present for Daddy.

He LOVED painting!
I finally got a good profile picture of Lyndon so we cut it out and used it as a stamp on the canvas. Lyndon doesn't like getting his hands or feet dirty...so making the prints was a little bit of an issue. I still love how it turned out.
Lyndon loved painting so much he even painted a card for his Grand-Dad on Sunday.
I know I'm just a proud Mama...but I think he's pretty talented. :o)

Happy Thanksgiving

Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!!
note: One year olds do not like making stamp prints of their hands. This project took way more patience than I thought it would. I'm so happy I did it though!!

Adorable Thanksgiving Cards

Designing Moms has this fantastic little idea on their site. HAD to share. Don't know if it will work with Munch and his little one year old hands...but I'm going to give it a go!! Just need to wait for Daddy to get home tonight!

Toes

I made this frame in August for my hubby's birthday...and am only now getting around to posting it.

The caterpillar is Munch's little 9 month toes. Got this idea searching around for thumb print art and thankfully found some toe art too. It's super hard getting a 9 month old to cooperate with you when you are trying to paint his fingers and use them as stamps. Toes were much more fun and a lot more ticklish!
Here are some places to find more ideas:

Enjoy!!

A Present For Papa

Last week my sister-in-law and I went to Kil'n Time so the kids could make a gift for Papa. It took a while to pick out exactly what we were going to do, but we finally decided on making race cars using the kids feet. I think the kids had fun and they were all so good and patient!! I got lost going to and coming back but I want to go again to maybe make something for John.
