Thifty Thursday - Owl

When the Hubby and I got our weekend without the kids we took the opportunity to visit some cool thrift/vintage stores.

This little guy was found at Dolly Python.
I just had to get him. He's so beautiful and I know a lot of love and work went into him.
In my dream house I have a craft room, with a wall filled with hand sewn, vintage art. My friend here is just the first to join the collection. I found a great home for him. Not the wall in my dream house, but one day we'll get there!

Fat Ass Friday - Week 28

Original Starting Weight: 223
Post Preggie Starting Weight: 200
Last Weeks Weigh In: 152
Current Weight: 150
Pounds Lost This Week: 2
Total Pounds Lost: 73

Whoo Hoo! I'm super excited about this! Only 15 pounds to go until I hit my goal weight!

I decided to switch up my jogging a little this week. And did a 5k in intervals of walking and then quick jogging...which is still slow, but I beat my normal time by a couple minutes. I really just didn't feel like jogging the whole way, but I wanted to do something. It actually felt really good and I think I'll add it to my routine.

I'm going out with my sister today to try on her official choice of bridesmaid dress. I'm REALLY hoping I can zip it up all the way. Would be even better if they had to pin it tighter. I think that I could ride that high all month. Not getting my hopes up though, seriously, I will just be super happy if I can just zip it...those dresses are made so small.

Thought I would share my favorite pin of the week :o) Keep believing and anything is possible! Have a great and healthy week!

Fat Ass Friday - Week 27

Original Starting Weight: 223
Post Preggie Starting Weight: 200
Last Weight In: 153
Current Weight: 152
Pounds Lost This Week: 1
Total Pounds Lost: 71

It's actually been a rough couple weeks. I hit the 70 pound mark and almost started back sliding..I guess part of me was thinking; "Meh, 70 pounds rocks. I don't have to work anymore."
Which is SO wrong! It took a little bit, but I finally won that argument.

Hubby and I finally got our first weekend away from the kiddos. We went into Dallas and stayed at this great hotel called The Belmont. Which was AWESOME. There was a tub in our room that could have fit 10 of me....okay maybe just 5, but it was HUGE! My mother bought me this beautiful dress and ridiculously fancy shoes. I told Hubby he has to take me out for another date soon.

It's been a LONG time since I felt this good in a dress.
Doesn't my husband look great too? He's lost 39 pounds and I am SO proud of him.
In other news...today I went to Target and discovered Skinny Cow Dark Chocolate Dreamy Clusters. They are 120 calories for 6 wonderfully fantasmic chocolate bites. Seriously, they are AMAZING. Sometimes a girl just needs chocolate....which is why I also stocked up on my Luna Protein Bars for $5 a box of 6. Which is great considering the best I've ever found them is $1 per.
I've kept up with my jogs and I really enjoy them. Although, I will be SO happy when these 100+ days come to an end...for the year. This girl was just NOT built for Texas summers. It's even too hot to go swimming. Craziness.

Everyone have a healthy and happy week!!

Second Opinion Sunday

Last weekend Hubby and I went to a couple vintage thrifty type stores in Dallas. At Curiosities they had tons of fabric and vintage table linens. I seriously could have spent hours in that one little corner. Then another few hours looking at all their other goodies.

Sadly our stomachs were growling...so we only spent an hour exploring...okay MAYBE two...maybe. One of the treasures I walked out with was this piece of fabric.

It's only about the size of a fat quarter, but I love the colors and pattern.
Any ideas on what I should create with it?
