Opposites: Shadow and Light

opposites button

Playing catch up again. The next two assignments in this class were Shadow and Light. I tried several times to take a decent shadow picture and I couldn't get quite the right shot. Apparently I just needed to be patient. On Sunday I was outside, showing Nox our sunflowers and noticed his shadow on the fence. I'm pretty pleased with the results.

I also found a great article on Photo Jojo: The Ultimate Guide to Photo Shadow Play. I really want to give some of their ideas a try.

The light assignment required that there be direct sunlight and that you use it as back lighting. Our back fence is perfect for that. It's pretty ancient, so it's worn and the sun shines through beautifully in the early evening. Kaiser makes such a handsome model when he holds still for more than a second.
Next up: Near and Far.
