FAF: Week 14 - The Color Run

2013 Starting Weight: 165
Last Weigh In: 165
Current Weight: 162
Lost This Week: 3
Total Lost: 3

Thank goodness! Totally got back on the right track this week. We planned our meals and stuck to them....mostly. I got sick and have had trouble eating the past couple days. I'm hoping my hard work at the beginning of the week is why I lost weight and NOT because I was sick, because I would be heart broken if the weight came flooding back when I feel better.

Last weekend John and I did The Color Run.

There were SO many more people than last year. It was a little more crowded than I would have liked...in certain spots they definitely narrowed the lanes. We were told over and over runners on the left, walkers on the right. For whatever reason that rarely happened....so we walked more than I wanted to and when we ran there was lots of zigzagging.

All that said...we still had a BLAST.

There were a TON of kids there is year...and while Munch didn't seem too pleased with our appearance this year either...we may drag him and Nox (who didn't have ANY problem with all the color) next year.

The pink took 2 washes to come out of my hair...and my jacket is now a pretty lavender.

We don't have another 5k planned YET, but we are looking for our next one. I tested my new running sneaks and I think we'll grow on each other.

2013 miles as of last week: 120.51
Miles logged this week: 12.27
Total Miles: 132.78

I'm linking up with Angie. Come join in the fun!

Fat Ass Friday: 2013 Edition - Week 1

Linking up with Angie over at Health Not to Health Nut. Go over and join or just support the lovely bloggers that are linking up :o)

2013 Starting Weight: 165

Weight GAIN 22 pounds from last March when I made it to 80 pounds lost. SIGH. It's okay though. I'm starting over, moving on. Last year was a rough year, emotionally for me. This year WILL be different.

Yesterday, I started tracking my food over at Spark People again. (I'm Rencherry if ya want to come join!) I felt hungry all day, but I expected that after the the insane way I've been eating.

I'm going to continue my mile a day.
Photobucket
Miles traveled so far: 7.08

I restarted C25K last month and am on week 3 now. It feels so good to be getting back into my grove.
I've already signed John and I up for two 5K runs this year.
The Firefly Run in March
The Color Run in April (check out my post on last year's run HERE.)
Hopefully we'll be adding more to the list. Only fun runs, nothing serious...we are all about fun here :o)

Have a happy and healthy week!

Project Life: Weeks 6 and 7

Thanks for all the lovely comments I received last week! I'm so glad everyone likes my pages.

I did a lot of hand journaling for these two weeks. I don't really like using my handwriting in scrapbooking usually...because I panic when I mess up, but I decided to just deal with it this time and I really like how these pages turned out.

Week 6:

Page 1:
I really like the warholized picture on this page. If you want to warholize yourself check out Warholize Me out. It's fun just to play around with.

Page 2:
Had fun doodling on one of the journal cards and even more fun doing a blanket stitch around another. The embroidery is all using thread from my husband's grandmother's stash...including the embroidered journal card. :o)

Week 7:
We were on our second week of being miserably sick...I went through emails from this week and week 6 and it was just awful and sad. I'm not sure how I managed to get any decent pictures. We did get better at the end of this week which was great because I would have been heart broken if we missed The Color Run. I found an album kit I received ages ago when I was getting monthly packages from Club Scrap and the page protectors were PERFECT for our racing bibs. Yay!

This was the week of Valentine's Day. My husband had off, but I'm pretty sure all four of us spent the day on the couch...only moving if we absolutely had to. Hubby did post a Game of Thrones Valentine on my Facebook wall though. We finally got better just in time for The Color Run.

The Color Run. LOVE this page. LOVED the run. Took most of my journaling for it from when I blogged about it HERE. Totally doing this again. Doing this page really made me remember how much fun we had.

Fitness Friday: Week 8

Original Starting Weight: 223
Last Weigh In: 143
Current Weight: 143
Pounds lost since last weight in: 0
Total Pounds Lost: 80
I'm really amazed that I didn't gain anything. My appetite came back in full force and I've been wanting to eat almost everything in site. The weather has been really glorious this week, so I've been able to get out with the boys a few times for a nice walk.
The Color Run on Sunday was amazing.
(before)

If there was any run to do after being sick this one was it.

(running...slowly)

It was super relaxed. I think there were some people that walked a majority of the way and just enjoyed the fun.
(purple insanity)

John and I ran the kilometers in between stations and caught our breath while walking through clouds of color and throwing colored powder at each other and everyone else.
(John thinks this picture looks like we survived some sort of rainbow zombie apocalypse)

The race ended with a Color Festival at the end. Every 15 minutes there was a great explosion of color.
(color festival. the little boy next to me was celebrating his birthday. how cool is that?)
I really don't think I've ever seen so many happy people in one place.
(thousands of happy colorful people)
We cannot wait to do it again next year!!

(after)

Have a happy and healthy week!!
