I actually made this last month...but until pretty recently I hadn't got any decent pictures. I've seen Tie-Shirts everywhere and kept thinking: "I'm positive I could do that." But as with most things it got put on my mental to-do list for later. Until I found this fabric...which I HAD to buy....
and a tie-shirt just seemed a perfect project for it. I did find a tutorial complete with pattern, here, but to be honest I didn't really like the sharp corners...my dad's ties always had soft rounded corners...so I made my own template and I just zig-zagged it directly onto the shirt...mostly because I didn't feel like taking out the iron.
It's not a neat job...because I didn't do the whole applique process and just sewed it on, BUT I love the end result. I'm going to try being lazy more often.

OMG! Cerise, that is so cute! I actually plan on having my Small Fry wear a onesie with a tie appliqué on his 1st birthday! :)
Love that shirt! So glad you posted it!
That shirt is one of my all-time favs, you have to make another tie shirt. He keeps grabbing that Peter Frampton album and I'm not sure why...I keep putting it back too. What is up with that face/har in the 2nd pic, so classic of him.
