Last week I got to hang out with my Dad and he gave me a ton of patterns from his girlfriend. They were her mother's and they are ALL girl things, but I've had so much fun going through them and I'm totally saving them. You never know....maybe I'll have a girl one day. The patterns are a few decades old so not everything is still in style, but there are some that are really awesome....and so totally cute.

Hat and Pot of Gold by Nayyan - St. Patrick's Day Kit
Sadly I don't know who did the background. It was in a folder of misc. backgrounds I had. It's labeled "Black Linen".
It was hard doing this layout. The pictures are from before I started Spark People and I hadn't opened these pics in a while. I was pretty horrified at how much I had let myself go. I guess it's good to remember...so I NEVER get back to that place!

Space Monkeys
The moment I saw this pattern at The Long Thread, I wanted to make it. I finally found fabric I liked for it and cut all the pieces...and then promptly lost it in the move. Thankfully I found it again and finished it last night.
The monkeys are from an embroidery kit called Monkey Love by Sublime Stitching.
Sewing the bottom of the rocket by hand was the hardest part and it's slightly obvious that I can't sew in a straight line. I think it came out well though. I hope Munch likes it, cause it's one of his birthday presents.

Tori, June and a Couple Alphas
I've been wanting to use the stamp below for a while now and never had the perfect picture of Lyndon and I. So I used a picture I really like of one of my best friends and her precious little girl.
Tori and June created using Mother's Day Poem Stamp by Major Tigger Scraps (Poem was written by Meredith Gray), Background is from A Little Paper Pack by Angelica E.
C is for Coffee created using Whimsy Itty Bitty Kit by Three Paper Peonies

First Easter
It is a little ridiculous how behind I am on my son's scrapbook...but I'm getting there. Slowly but surely. Here is his first Easter:
Both pages were done using Easter Memories kit by RK Design. The large stamp frame is a Greenfield Original.
I also have a few non-digi pages that I've done, but those require me taking pictures. That will have to wait for another time.

Seven Million Wonders
I found a great Digi artist today at angelicas digiscrap blog. I love all her artwork and am so happy she offers so many freebies so I could sample her work. I was so inspired I created a page using a picture I took of Munch this morning.

Floor Pillows from Space
I finished Lyndon's floor pillows while John was taking a jog last night. They were really easy and took about a hour each to complete.
I made the covers slip on, so I can easily slip them off to clean.
Lyndon is already enjoying them!
My to-do list is almost non-existant now. I STILL can't find the project I was working on for Lyndon. It was almost done too. DRIVING ME INSANE. I'm going to focus on Lyndon's scrapbook and a blanket I have going until I find it.

Acorns and Apples
It was my "baby" sister's birthday yesterday, so I made her this bag. It's similar to a couple of other bags I've made, but this is my favorite so far. It's reversable.
Acorns on one side. (Arianna LOVES acorns - something to do with Peter Pan)
Apples on the other. (Arianna teaches 3rd grade.)
She likes the acorn side the best, says the apples really pop. I think I might have to make one for myself. :o)
Still haven't found the pattern I was working on for Lyndon's birthday, but I did finish one of his floor pillows. When I finish the second I'll post them.

Wish List Wednesday
Found a couple things I want and thought I would share. Not that I need more projects...
First up, One-Yard Wonders. Looks perfect for anyone who likes to shop the remnants....and who doesn't like to do that?
Second, Sewing: 2010 Day-to-Day Calendar .Both feature the work of The Long Thread, who is one of my favorite bloggers. I think Barnes and Noble actually has a special One Yard Wonders with extra patterns. I'm super excited about both and they will be going on my wish list...possibly on my gift lists too. :o)

First Trip to the Zoo
Trying to get caught up on Munch's scrapbook before his birthday. Which is next month!! I can't believe it's September already!!
Journal Block - Lynn Grieveson
Date Label - Simply Sweet Designs
On another note I seem to have lost an almost completed project I had going for Munch's birthday. I'm so upset!! I'm sure it will turn up somewhere, I'm just hoping it will be before his birthday. Need to find a good overall pattern for him too. Munch has already grown out of the one I had originally bought...what happened to my tiny baby?
